Accident on County Road 15 Monday Morning / UPDATED

According to Alabama State Troopers – a single-vehicle wreck resulting in two injuries took place shortly after 9:30 Monday morning on County Road 15 approximately five miles from the state line. 

The Summerville News reported that a medical helicopter was called for one victim, with a landing zone being set up at the Redmond EMS station in Summerville off of Stockade Road, while a second victim in that accident was being taken by Floyd EMS to an area hospital for treatment.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, the driver of that 2005 Dodge involved in the accident was 15 year old William Morris and the passenger was Jerry Morris, age 46 – both residents of Menlo, Georgia. 

The report noted that both occupants were wearing their seat belts.

The cause of that accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
