A juvenile suspect is in custody with making a terrorist threat against Piedmont High School.
Piedmont police and fire personnel were called to the high school shortly before noon Friday in response to a bomb threat received by school officials.
Police say that when they arrived, all of the faculty and students had been taken out of the building by school official and were in a safe location.
Calhoun County Sheriff’s K-9 and Vapor Wake K-9 provided animals to search the campus for explosives. No explosives were found, and the All Clear was given at 3:10pm. Early in the investigation, Piedmont police arrested the juvenile suspect and took him to the Coosa Valley Youth Detention Center.
