The Georgia State Patrol continues to investigate a single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a 30 year old Chattooga County man over the weekend.

According to a report by the Summerville News, at around 7:00 Saturday (September 15th) evening, Cody Fulmer was traveling south on Highway 27, and as he neared Taylor’s Ridge he lost control of his pickup truck and crashed.  Witnesses told the paper that they jumped out and tried to help until Redmond EMS arrived on the scene.

An AirLife Helicopter, from Redmond was called to assist.  Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader stated that it was his understanding that Fulmer didn’t die at the scene, but later passed away at the hospital.
