Two Cherokee County residents were arrested on drug charges Tuesday night.
27 year old Kyle DeWayne Queen of a Leesburg address was booked into jail just after 9:00 on charges of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Meanwhile James Hoyt Battles age 50 from Cedar Bluff was arrested on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in addition to DUI/Controlled Substance.
Battles had been booked into jail around 8:45pm and released at approximately 10:00 after making bail of $4,500; Queen currently remains in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
