At around 8:20 on Thursday morning emergency personnel were dispatched to reports of a car striking the rear of a tractor on County Road 19 near the intersection of County Road 71, approximately two miles from the Cherokee County Animal Shelter in Centre.
The tractor was outfitted with a bush hog – and that was what the car, an older model Chevrolet, actually struck. Fortunately, no one was hurt. The bush hog sustained very little damage and the front of the car had moderate damage.
Those responding to the scene included the Mt. Weisner Fire Department, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Alabama State Troopers.
