A 25 year old Etowah County woman has been charged with the Chemical Endangerment of a Child. Felicia Rae Mitchell of Attalla was initially charged with the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after deputies found a pipe with residue on it during a traffic stop.
According to Investigator Brandi Fuller Mitchell admitted to using methamphetamines and marijuana while pregnant. She tested positive for both methamphetamines and marijuana, in addition to amphetamines.
Mitchell is currently being held on a cash bond of $10,000 for Chemical Endangerment, and a $1,000 bond for Drug Paraphernalia.
As a condition of that bond she must successfully complete a drug treatment program – and will be monitored by Etowah County Court Referral upon release.
The arrest was made based on probable cause, all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
