Gaylesville Man Gets a Second Chance and Still Winds Up in Jail

A Gaylesville man was arrested last week after being stopped twice in one day by the same deputy in Chattooga County, Georgia.

According to reports from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, 41 year old Wesley Shawn Guffey was stopped and Guffey was found to be driving with no valid insurance. The deputy issued Guffey a citation at that time.

Later that same day the same deputy saw Guffey driving the same 2002 Ford Explorer – as Guffey was turning into BJ’s Food Mart in Lyerly.  This time the deputy ran the driver’s license, and it came back suspended.

Guffey was taken into custody and transported to the Chattooga County Jail for driving with a suspended license.
