A pair of Cullman County residents were taken into custody locally, and charged with being involved in multiple burglaries recently taking place in the area of County Road 20.

Richard Lee Ferguson, age 30 and Amanda Louise Ferguson, age 36, were picked up at  a campground in the Slackland community on Tuesday, with Richard Ferguson being charged with two counts of Burglary 3rd Degree and one count of Theft of Property 2nd Degree and Amanda Ferguson being charged with one count of Burglary 3rd Degree.  Both subjects were transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center, and booked in on those charges.  They were released Thursday evening after making bond set at $12,500 and $5,000 respectively.

Sheriff’s Office Investigators were able to recover several items of stolen property.
