James Clay Askew

James Clay Askew, age 47 of Piedmont, passed away Tuesday, July 24th at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 28th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Brian Powell officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3:PM Saturday, at the funeral home.

Survivors include sons, Jace (Lauren) Moore of Huntsville, Riley Askew of Piedmont; daughters, Danielle (Adam) Neyman of Cedar Bluff, Destiny Askew (Matthew Roebuck) of Centre; brothers, Jackie Askew, Craig Askew, Jeff Askew and Bubba Crain all of GA; sisters, Donna Bennett of GA, Rhonda Holcomb of Piedmont, Carol Sheppard of Collinsville; 6 grandchildren.

Mr. Askew was born in Coweta Co. GA, the son of the late, Jack Welburn and Sara Ann Ball Askew, he was a professional coon hunter and owner of Tree Talkin Kennels and was of the Baptist faith.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
