(HOMETOWN HEADLINES) The GBI has wrapped up its investigation into an officer-involved shooting on Highway 411 back on May 7.
According to previous reports, 55-year old Kimberly McCann of Cedartown led officers on a chase that began in Cave Spring after she was speeding through a school zone.
The pursuit ended at Highway 411 and the loop with McCann opening fire at officers.
Two Floyd County Police Officers, a Floyd County Sheriff’s Deputy and a Georgia State Trooper returned fire and McCann died as a result of her injuries.
The results of the investigation have been turned over to the Floyd County District Attorney’s Office.
DA Leigh Patterson told hometownheadlines.com that her office has had the report for several weeks but there is “No news at this time.”
