Rome Man Sentenced To Life Plus Five Years For Murdering His Mother

A Rome man is sentenced to life plus five years for the stabbing death of his mother in December of 2016.

George Anthony Headen was found guilty of murder and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime on Tuesday.

His mother, 50-year old Sheila Williams, was found dead in the residence at 303 Larkspur Lane.

She had been stabbed multiple times.

The prosecution had asked for life without parole but the judge sentenced Headen to life plus 5.
