The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce recently held the official Ribbon Cutting ceremony for their newest member, The Cottages of Yellow Creek.

The Cottages of Yellow Creek is a new neighborhood being developed on beautiful Weiss Lake in Leesburg, Alabama. The neighborhood consists of 20 lots with a community dock and lakeside area.

The developers chose the name Cottages of Yellow Creek to pay tribute to the nearby creek that feeds into Weiss Lake. The Yellow Creek area is popular among locals and tourists for the beautiful scenery consisting of large rocks and the rushing waterfall.  Future residents can quickly and easily get to Yellow Creek via boat or car to socialize in the water or climb atop the rocks to view the waterfall.
