Strong Storms Rumbled Across Cherokee County On Wednesday

A strong line of summertime thunderstorms rolled through Cherokee County on Wednesday afternoon which produced some torrential rain, high winds and small hail.

Cherokee County EMA received several reports of pea-sized hail from several locations in northern Cherokee County.

Numerous trees were reported down all across the northern portion of the county with power lines having been reported down in Cedar Bluff on Highway 9 north near Enon Grove Baptist Church.

There were a few reports of localized flooding mainly around the river banks; fortunately there have been no reports any injuries or significant structural damage.
