Congressman Mike Rogers Speaks With WEIS Radio Regarding The Farm Bill & Immigration

Immediately after returning from the floor on Thursday afternoon, Third District Congressman Mike Rogers took just a few moments to speak with WEIS Radio Assistant News Director Joey Weaver from his Washington DC Office about a couple of ‘hot topics’ that were discussed on the floor Thursday afternoon.

Farmers across Alabama will be happy to hear that the ‘Farm Bill’ received its official approval from the floor. Congressman said that it will go to conference and will be reconciled with a Democratic version but he remains optimistic that it will receive full passage.

Another ‘hot topic’ subject we asked about was the much talked about immigration bill, Congressman Rogers said that there was two different bills that were voted on, the more Conservative Bill that touches on building the wall and gets rid of chain migration and then the more moderate version.
