A single-vehicle crash over the weekend claimed the life of a Marshall County man.
John Hershel Smith, age 38 of Grant, was killed when the 2017 Kawasaki motorcycle that he was operating, left the roadway and struck a tree.
Smith was pronounced dead at the scene. That crash occurred at 7:35pm on Simpson Point Road approximately two miles south of Grant.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
