Both drivers were hurt in a two-vehicle wreck on Industrial Boulevard in Leesburg Monday morning.

According to Leesburg Police Chief Brent Grimes the accident took place at 7:52 involving a 2003 Toyota Corolla driven by Joshua Carter of Arab and a 2013 Nissan Sentra being driven by Louise Haygood of a Crossville address.  Following the impact, Carter’s vehicle went into a ditch and had to be towed from the scene

Afterwards Carter was taken to Floyd Medical Center for treatment and Haygood was taken Gadsden Regional.  No additional information regarding the extent of their injuries was immediately available.

The cause of that accident remains under investigation.
