Gaylesville Resident Hurt in Monday Evening Accident

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report one person was hurt in a two-vehicle accident on Canyon Drive in Cherokee County Monday evening.

The wreck involved a 1998 Dodge being driven by 19 year old Austin Almond of Gaylesville – who was listed as being injured in the mishap – and a 2012 Mazda, being driven by Donna Clowdis, who was unhurt.

No additional information was available regarding the extent of Almond’s injuries; however the report did note that he was wearing his seat belt at the time.

The cause of that accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
