Two Cedar Bluff Residents Charged with Burglary of Vacation Lake Home

Cherokee County investigators arrested two individuals Wednesday in connection with a recent burglary occurring in the Cedar Bluff area.

The residence, a vacation lake home, was broken into during the last few weeks and several items including electronics and tools were taken.  Investigator Brent Snead charged 55 year old Anthony Edward Slayton, and 58 year old Timothy Joe Weaver, both of Cedar Bluff, with third degree burglary and second degree theft of property.

Sheriff’s investigators recovered most of the property taken from the home, and it has since been returned to the rightful owner.

Both Slayton and Weaver remain in the Cherokee County Detention Center awaiting setting of bond.
