A single-vehicle accident sent one person to the hospital Thursday morning.

That wreck occurred at around 7:45 beside a stretch of Lokey Street which runs adjacent to Highway 411 near Garrett Tire in Leesburg. 

It appeared the small truck had been traveling along Highway 411 when it left the roadway, traveled across the ditch and crashed into a tree between 411 and Lokey Street.  Witnesses said the male driver got out of the vehicle under his own power – apparently suffering non-life threatening injuries. 

He was transported from the scene by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.
