A Rome woman was fatally injured Tuesday in a crash on Highway 411 at Hamilton Crossing in Bartow County. According to the Georgia State Patrol, Emily Lauren Brown, age 18 lost control of her vehicle, and it began rotating in a clockwise manner and then traveled off the north side of Georgia 20 where it hit two trees and continued rotating in a clockwise manner before coming to rest on the north side of the highway.
Brown was pronounced dead at the scene by Bartow EMS personnel.
The cause of that accident remains under investigation.
