Manhunt for Person Who Pulled Gun on Employee at Rome GSP Post Continues

The search continues for the individual that reportedly walked into the Georgia State Patrol Office on the Martha Berry Highway in Rome Wednesday afternoon, threatened a secretary, and then fled.  According to the GSP, the man walked into the post – which is located across from the Food Lion store – produced a handgun and then left without harming anyone.

The suspect is described as a white male with a slender build five-feet-eight inches tall with short dark hair.  At the time he was wearing blue jeans and a dark color shirt.

The incident took place around 4:00pm.

Anyone who may have seen the man crossing the highway or anywhere in that area, should call 9-1-1 or contact the Floyd County Police Department or Georgia State Patrol.
