Sand Rock Man Indicted by Grand Jury on Sexual Abuse of a Child under the Age of 12 / UPDATED

A Cherokee County man has been indicted on sex-related charges, according to information from Sheriff Jeff Shaver.

Michael Ross Stiles, 45 of Sand Rock, has been indicted by a Cherokee County Grand Jury on the charges of Sexual Abuse of a Child under the Age of 12 and Attempted Rape 1st Degree.  Sheriff’s Office Chief Investigator Josh Summerford, along with Investigator Michael Green, and Investigator Jordan Kelley arrested Stiles Wednesday at a residence in Leesburg and he was booked into jail just after 6:00pm with bond being set at $300,000.

The indictments are the result of an investigation conducted by Investigator Kelley.
