Man Charged with Attempted Burglary After Being Caught on Camera at Cherokee Rock Village Cabin

An Etowah County man was arrested and charged with Attempted Burglary 3rd Degree and Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree in connection with his actions at Cherokee Rock Village.  The incident occurred on April 20th when Taylor Ross Fells, a 27 year old Gadsden resident was caught on surveillance footage attempting to break-in to the cabin at the main entrance to the park, where high-end climbing gear and other items are available for purchase.

After viewing the footage, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Investigators started working to develop leads in that case; leads which eventually led them to Fells.

He was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center, just before 2:30pm Wednesday of this week (May 16th), and released a short time later after posting bond of $1,000.
