Mr. Kermit “Bug” Butler, age 84, of Sand Rock passed away Monday, May 14th, in his home.
Funeral services will be held 3pm Wednesday, May 16th, at Perry Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Wilmon and Bro. Jeff Clevenger officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Bret Butler, Matthew Maddox, Bubba Beuckens, Dennis Egan, LaDon Hufstetler, and Hal Pearson. Honorary Pallbearers included Elmer Carver, Raymond Hufstetler, Jerry Money, Cecil Sharpe, and Billy Wayne Tillery.
Survivors include son, Jimmy Ray Butler and daughter, Vickie Reeves; both of Sand Rock; sister, Marceline Pearson of Sand Rock, and grandchildren; Bret Butler, Kale Maddox, Kaci Beuckens, Will Butler, Grant Maddox, and Luke Butler .
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Butler.
Kermit was a native of Cherokee County, son of the late William and Mary Louise Beck Butler. He was retired from Good Year and a member of the Sand Rock Church of Christ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pleasant Valley #2 Cemetery Fund or Big Oak Ranch.
