One Person Dead In Plane Crash In Jacksonville On Saturday Night, FAA Investigating

One person is dead and another was airlifted to a Huntsville trauma center following a plane crash at around 8: 00 p.m. Saturday night in the area of Whites Gap Road and Scotty Lane in Jacksonville.

 

A spokesperson with the Federal Aviation Administration says local officials reported the Beech BE-35 collided with a tree and caught fire.

 

The FAA is in charge of the investigation and says once local officials release their names; it will release the aircraft registration information. The National Transportation Safety Board will determine the probable cause of this accident.
