Make Your Summer Count with Gadsden State Athletics

The Gadsden State Cardinals Athletic Department will host summer basketball and volleyball camps beginning in June.  The men’s basketball team will host a Varsity/JV play date for high school basketball teams from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 4.  Registration fee is $150 per team or $100 if registering two or more teams.  Contact Deddric Tarver, Cardinals head coach and camp director, at 205-368-2353 by May 24 to register. 

A youth basketball camp for boys and girls in grades 2 through 6 will be held from 8 a.m. to noon June 25 and 26.  Registration fee is $40 per camper per day.  Contact Kori Walker, assistant basketball coach, at 205-410-6825 or Coach Tarver to register by June 21. 

Volleyball camp play dates are scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 23 for junior high and junior varsity players and July 24 or 25 for varsity players.  Registration fee is $100 per team.  An individual camp for grades 6-12 will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 13. Registration fee is $75 per camper.  For play dates scheduling purposes, participants must contact Connie Clark, Cardinals volleyball coach and camp director, at 256-490-2261 by July 1 to register.

All camps will be held at Beck Field House on the Wallace Drive Campus in Gadsden.  All participants will need to provide medical release forms which can be obtained by contacting the Athletic Department at 256-549-8310 or dsnow@gadsdenstate.edu.
