On Monday of this week, Investigators with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on County Road 29 in the McCord’s Crossroads community. Deputies and Investigators arrested four individuals at the home, and in doing so recovered a significant amount of methamphetamine and money.
The search warrant came as a result of a recent investigation into the sale of illegal drugs.
The occupant of the residence, 58 year old Mary Ann Wade, was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, five counts of the Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, with one count of the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and five counts of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Also arrested at the scene were 26 year old Amber Ann Coggins from Cedar Bluff; Jonathon Matthew Nicholson, age 36 of Piedmont; and a resident of Cedartown, Georgia – 37 year old Douglas Frederick Bray. All three were charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine as well.
Coggins was also charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Non-Support, and Failure to Appear on a prior charge of Theft of Property 3rd Degree.
Nicholson was additionally charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Bond Revocation and Failure to Appear on a number of charges including the Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Reckless Driving, Driving while Revoked, Switched Tag, Failure to Dim Lights, Following too Closely, Failure to Display Insurance and Attempting to Elude.
Bray was also charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
All four currently remain in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
