If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
People trying to sell stolen merchandise should keep that in mind and not doing that seems to have played a part in one man recently landing behind bars.
According to police, 38 year old Armuchee resident Richard Cord Hogue, was in possession of a John Deere backhoe loader which had been stolen from property on Prosperity Way. He had the $28,000 piece of equipment at Cagles Stop & Shop on Georgia 156 where he was trying to unload it for – $2,000.
Do you think that sent up some red flags?
Hogue was placed under arrest and charged with Theft by Receiving Stolen Property.
