A Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office Deputy lost control of his vehicle on the State Line Road, about a half-mile from the DeKalb County, Alabama line around 7:30 Tuesday morning. Deputy James Durham was traveling south when his vehicle left the roadway and landed in a ditch. The deputy was not injured and it appeared that there was no major damage to the patrol car.
The Georgia State Patrol responded to the scene; it’s unclear what led to the accident taking place.
