Centre Middle School Students, Staff and Faculty Mourn Loss of 7th Grader Eli Sauls

Eli Sauls was a student of Centre Middle School who passed away on Monday April 2nd, 2018. Tuesday morning the student body was informed of our loss in emotional meetings in the gymnasium.

Wednesday April 4th, we had our “Wear Red for Eli Day” and Tuesday night as a tribute to Eli our baseball players wrote notes on their cleats and gloves to remind them of their friend. Eli’s locker is completely covered with notes and pictures also as part of the healing process. Our Students and faculty are in need of prayer as we go through this trying time.

The Centre Middle School family is determined to honor the memory of our student, classmate and friend with dignity. We here at Centre Middle School would like to thank all the churches, organizations, and individuals who have helped to raise funds for our school family in this time of crisis. The goal has been met with a surplus and fund raising through the school has been halted. We also would like for the people who are praying for us to know that the prayers are felt and appreciated.

Please remember Eli’s family in your thoughts and prayers for the future.

Casey Young, Centre Middle School Principal
