Six Arrested Locally on Drug Charges Monday

Cherokee County authorities made a half-dozen drug arrests on Monday.

A 59 year old Centre resident, Ronnie Lynn Mayhall, was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd Degree, along with Failure to Appear on the previous charge of 3rd Degree Criminal Trespass.

Jeffrey Forrest Poole, age 39 and Shannon Lee Poole, age 37, both of Centre, and Billy Glenn Bentley, age 34 of Gaylesville – were each charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; while Connie Frances Fountain, age 46 and Averie Mae Stokes, age 18, both of Centre, were each charged with the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

All remain in the County Detention Center, with the exception of Fountain and Stokes – who were released after making bond of $1,000 each.
