Two Charged with Drug Trafficking; One, a Fugitive from Georgia Wanted for Child Molestation

A Georgia fugitive was taken into custody by Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Deputies late Wednesday morning at a residence in the Ferrell community.

Damien Christopher Ingram, age 26, listed as a resident of Cedar Bluff, is reportedly wanted in Floyd County on charges of Child Molestation and a probation violation.  A second individual, Megan Nicole Knight age 28 of Silver Creek, Georgia was placed under arrest, after a significant amount of methamphetamine was recovered by investigators.

Ingram and Knight stand charged with Trafficking Amphetamines, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Ingram was additionally charged with Failure to Appear on the previous charge of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree.

Both were booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center shortly after 11:30am. Ingram will be extradited to Floyd County upon release from Cherokee County.
