This Saturday’s Etowah County Republican Breakfast Will Feature Four Guest Speakers

The guest speakers for the Etowah County Republican Breakfast taking place this Saturday (March 17th) include John McMillan and Scott Dawson – candidates for governor; Jonathon Horton, a candidate for Etowah County Sheriff, and Rich McAdams, running for State Board of Education in District 8.

Each candidate will have 10 to 12 minutes to speak.

Rich McAdams served as an elected member of the Madison County Board of Education representing the Hazel Green and Meridianville communities from 2000 – 2012 including two years as its President. He has also served as an elected member of the Madison County Republican Executive Committee since 2014.

Scott Dawson is a man of tremendous character, conviction and faith. He is a family man and an active leader in his community. Scott is an energetic visionary. He has worked hard all of his life, and in those years, Scott Dawson has inspired thousands upon thousands to live spiritually, joyfully and generously with great and lasting purpose.

Commissioner John McMillan worked on his family’s farm and in his father’s sawmill. After college, he continued to work at the family sawmill for nearly 20 years. Over the years, McMillan’s life’s work continued to focus on agri-business, forest products, wildlife protection, natural resource management and the protection of private property rights.

Jonathon Horton’s career in Law Enforcement began at the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office in 2002, in the same year he graduated from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Academy. He is an Honorable Veteran of the U.S. Navy and Alabama Army National Guard. Jonathon is
currently the Chief of Police for the City of Rainbow City.

ECRB meets the third Saturday of every month. Dutch treat, no membership, no dues, everyone is welcome. The Dutch treat breakfast begins at 7:30am with the program beginning at 8am. The meeting is held at the Western Sizzlin’ Restaurant in Rainbow City each third Saturday of the month. The meeting will be held in the back dining room.
