Piedmont Police Make Two Unrelated Arrests For Terrorist Threats Involving Piedmont School System Students

Over the past few days Piedmont Police have made two unrelated arrests for Terrorist Threat involving Piedmont School System students.

On Monday, at around 8:30 p.m. Piedmont Police were notified by a parent about a possible threat. At 9:52 p.m. on the same date a 13 year-old male was arrested and charged with Terrorist Threat.

The male was transported to Coosa Valley Detention Center. The second arrest was made on Wednesday after Piedmont Police Officers were notified at around 3:00 p.m. by Piedmont High School Staff about a possible threat.

At 6:15 p.m. Piedmont Police arrested 18 year-old Michael Glenn McFry and charged him with Terrorist Threat. McFry was transported to the Calhoun County Jail and has a court date of April 19.
