One person was injured after being involved in a two vehicle accident on County Road 48 off of Highway 68 in Sand Rock on Saturday.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s accident report the mishap involved a 2013 Ford being driven by 35 year old Cynthia Wheeler of Cedar Bluff and a 2004 Ford driven by 69 year old Tommy Brown of Albertville. Wheeler was not injured while Brown taken by Cherokee EMS Medics to Marshal Medical Center South in Albertville.

The Sand Rock Fire Department, Cherokee County Rescue Squad personnel and law enforcement also responded to the scene.
