A Sunday traffic stop conducted by DeKalb County Deputies at the intersection of Highways 75 and 40 in Henagar resulted in both the driver and passenger in that vehicle being placed under arrest.

As deputies were taking with the driver – identified as 38 year old Twaski LeShon Brown of Toney, Alabama – they detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle; at that point the passenger 23 year old Sterling Xavier Beasley from Madison, Alabama admitted to using marijuana and a search of the vehicle was conducted. 

Deputies discovered a pill and a gun during that search which led to the arrest of Brown for the Illegal Possession of Prescription Drugs and Beasley for Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
