An employee of Hays State Prison in Chattooga County, Georgia has been arrested, charged with bringing contraband into the prison. Mark Edward Jeffery, age 33 was found inside the facility with cell phones, chargers, pills and alcohol along with illegal drugs; he was charged with bringing methamphetamine into the prison and also being in possession of controlled substance and trafficking drugs. He is also facing charges of violation of oath of office.
