Five Arrested Locally on Drug Charges Tuesday

Several people were arrested on drug charges in Cherokee County Tuesday.

Gregory Michael Reed, age 44 of Centre, Michael Shane Clayton, 46 from Leesburg and Ryan Keith Roberts, age 41 also of Leesburg were each charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Carlos Cobb, 45 of Centre – was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Promoting Prison Contraband – in addition to Failure to Appear on a prior charge of Public Intoxication.

And Lucas Black Heaxt age 23 of Boaz was charged with Attempting to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime.

Clayton and Roberts were booked into jail just after 1:00pm with bond for each being set at $3,000; Reed was booked in at 2:00pm with bond yet to be set.

Cobb was booked at 6:30pm, and his bond has been set at $1,300 while Heaxt was booked in at the Cherokee County Detention Center just prior to 3:00 that afternoon, with bond yet to be set.
