A Gadsden woman has been charged with Murder in the shooting death of her boyfriend on Friday afternoon.

Shortly before 1:00pm Gadsden Police responded to a report of shots fired at a residence in the 1100 block of Scenic Drive.  Michelle Kennedy was taken into custody later that day, in connection with the shooting death of her 33 year old boyfriend, Christopher Underwood.  Police say the incident apparently stemmed from a domestic dispute.  Kennedy is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $200,000 bond.

The matter remains under investigation.
