Mr. James Witt, age 81 of Leesburg, passed away Sunday, January 21st at Cherokee Health & Rehab.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 PM Friday January 26th at the funeral home.Entombment will be at Cherokee Memory Garden Mausoleum.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Ann Steed Whitt; sons, Phillip Lee Witt of Leesburg, James Richard Witt of Centre, Lonnie Eric Witt of Leesburg; brothers, Lonnie Witt, Jess Witt, Arvil Witt and Henry Witt, all of Blount County; sisters, Ruth Ridgeway of Blount County, Elsie Gates of Hammond, LA; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
Mr. Witt was a native of Blount County, the son of the late Jim Melvin and Della Eller Witt and was a truck driver.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cherokee County Health & Rehab Activities Department.
