Mr. Milford Preston Agan, age 80 of Rome passed away Tuesday January 16, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Agan was born in Centre, Alabama on April 4, 1937 a son of the late Walter Franklin Agan, and Jesse Lee Prater Agan. He was a veteran o the US Army having served during the Korean War. Mr. Agan was retired truck driver retiring from Coosa Bakery. He was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Floyd Springs Masonic Lodge #167 F&AM. Mr. Agan was preceded in death by, siblings, Calvin Agan, Opal Freeman, Joyce Cromer, and Sadie Keener.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Hudgins Agan, children, Preston Agan, Rome; Rennea (Michael) Stuart , Ringgold,: Ricky Agan, Rome; Melissa (David) Brock, Rome; sisters, Hope Nelson, Rome; Rebecca (Frankie) Smith, Rome; brother, W.L. (Mary) Agan, Rome; 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday January 20, 2018 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Horace Humphries, officiating. Interment will follow in Pisgah Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the service on Saturday, at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
Pallbearers include, Frankie Agan, Sky King, Robert Blalock, Dwayne Nelson, Frankie Smith, and Justin Head.
