State Troopers Work Two Accidents in Cherokee County Thursday Morning / UPDATED

Alabama State Troopers worked two accidents in Cherokee County on Thursday morning – one without injuries, one with three injuries.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident reports the first accident took place at 9:50am on County Road 3, approximately two miles south of Sand Rock, involving a 2004 Jeep driven by 17 year old Mason Jones of Cedar Bluff and a 2007 Chevrolet driven by 15 year old Collinsville resident Maggie Tinsley. Both drivers were listed on the report as being hurt along with a passenger in the Chevrolet – 44 year old Wendi Tinsley, also of Collinsville.

The second wreck was a single-vehicle rollover on County Road 47, just off Highway 273 at approximately 11:00 that morning.  According to the report the driver of the 2003 Jeep involved, was unhurt in the mishap. Members of the Tucker’s Chapel Fire Department and Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, also responded to the scene.
