Mrs. Martha Jo Abernathy age 72 of Cedar Bluff passed away Saturday December 23rd at her residence.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday December 27th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Owens officiating, burial will follow in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday December 26th at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Tyler Crane, Caleb Crane, Terry Abernathy, Austin Abernathy, Alex Abernathy and T. Bird Covington.
Survivors include husband, Donald Abernathy of Cedar Bluff; daughters, Tammy Jo (Tim) Ransum of Leesburg and Pamela Diane (Bobby) Townson of Ft. Payne; brother, Billy Leon Watkins of Piedmont; sister, Mary Evelyn Abernathy of Cedar Bluff; three grandchildren, Tyler Crane, Caleb Crane and Madison Townson in addition to two great-grandchildren Cannon Crane and Casen Crane
Mrs. Abernathy was a native of Cherokee County and the daughter of the late Robert Leon and Ella Mae Ashworth Watkins and a member of Demaris Baptist Church.
