An Altoona man was injured in a once-vehicle crash approximately four miles south of Boaz during the early morning hours of Sunday.

63 year old Robert Elledge, driving his 2015 Nissan along Highway 179, lost control of the vehicle, just prior to 5:00am.  The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report listed Elledge as being hurt in that wreck although no additional information regarding the extent of his injuries was noted.

  He was wearing his seat belt at the time.

The cause of that accident remains under investigation by state troopers.
