Cherokee County Christmas Parade Makes A Welcomed ‘Nighttime’ Return

Thursday’s Cherokee County Christmas Parade, the first held after dark in several years turned out to also be one the biggest in recent memory with a record turnout. State Representative Richard Lindsey served as the Grand Marshal.

This year’s Parade featured more than 80 entries from area businesses, schools, community organizations, civic clubs, and church groups. The parade also featured antique cars, motorcycles, horses and various public safety vehicles.…..and of course Santa Claus made an appearance, riding atop the City of Centre’s Ladder 9 Truck.
