A Cedar Bluff man managed to catch a ride to the DeKalb County Detention Center with the Deputies who conducted a traffic stop on him in Collinsville late last week.  Jacob Thomas Dasher, age 19 was pulled over near the intersection of Alabama Highway 68 and County Road 1, and as deputies approached the vehicle they detected a strong odor.

Following several requests to exit the vehicle, Dasher finally complied and at that point, K-9 Yogi conducted an “open air check”, and “alerted” on the vehicle.  According to that incident report, the subsequent search turned up a small bag of marijuana leading to Dasher’s arrest on charges of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was additionally charged with Obstructing Government Operations and Resisting Arrest.
