State Troopers responded to a single-vehicle wreck on County Road 44, approximately two miles north of Leesburg, around 10:30 Tuesday night. According to the accident report, the driver of the 2008 Honda, 17 year old Sidney Sheppard from Ft Payne, and a passenger, Alac Irving – were listed as being hurt.
The report noted that Sheppard was wearing her seat belt at the time.
The cause of that accident remains under investigation by state troopers.
