A collision between a Toyota Tacoma and a Toyota Rav-4 on Turner McCall Boulevard, took place after the driver of the Rav-4 swerved to miss another vehicle before colliding with the Tacoma – causing it to flip in front of the Checker’s restaurant.
According to Sergeant Brandon Pledger with the Rome Police Department the driver of that other vehicle had been traveling on MLK going to First Street, when they failed to come to a complete stop at the red light and stopped in the middle of the intersection which led to the accident occurring.
That driver was found to be at fault and will be cited.
Fortunately, no one was hurt in the mishap.
