Madalyn Oliver and Aaron Mackey are Crowned Gadsden State Community College Homecoming King and Queen

Madalyn Oliver and Aaron Mackey were crowned Gadsden State Community College’s Homecoming King and Queen during festivities Nov. 13 at the Beck Field House.  Oliver is a native of Sand Rock and is the daughter of Greg and Sabrina Oliver.

She is a general studies major at Gadsden State and plans to transfer to a four-year university to pursue a nursing degree.

At the College, Oliver is a peer tutor and a member of the Science, Math and Engineering Club and the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. She represented Gadsden State Cherokee on the Homecoming Court.  Mackey lives in Centre and is the son of John Mackey and Tonya Keener. He also represented Gadsden State Cherokee, where he is majoring in poultry science and hopes to one day work for the USDA.

Favorites were selected from five of Gadsden State’s campuses to make up the Homecoming Court:

Ayers Campus – Maci Baker of Weaver and Steven Caleb Johnson of Ashville

East Broad Street Campus – Christian Baxter of Talladega and Jared Rhea Blackwell of Black Creek

Valley Street Campus – Kelsey Freeman of Attalla and Charles Hanne of Enterprise

Wallace Drive Campus – Zoe Langford of Decatur and Anthony Wayne Morgan of Gelnhausen, Hesse, Germany
