A 23 year old Tallahassee, Florida man has been arrested on charges of first degree sexual abuse following an investigation that stemmed from an incident which allegedly occurred while a group of college students from Florida were visiting Cherokee County.

The victim in this case reported the crime to the Tallahassee Police Department and detectives notified the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigator Tony Monroy and Chief Investigator Josh Summerford traveled to Tallahassee, met with Florida authorities, and conducted the investigation, which resulted in the arrest of 23 year-old Patrick Cox. Cox was released earlier today on a ,000 bond.
